Swans team members Barry Hall, Jude Bolton and Adam Goodes donned the make-up and joined Cathy Freeman, Tina Arena, Rove McManus, Deborah Mailman, George Gregan, and Tex Perkins, among others to feature in the fund raising calendar.
Clown Doctors deliver doses of fun and laughter to kids and their families in all major children’s hospitals, and some general hospitals, around Australia.
The Clown Doctors are professional performers, trained to work in the sensitive hospital setting where hospitalised children can be frightened, anxious, in pain or just bored.
Over the past couple of years many Sydney Swans players have joined the Clown Doctors in their hospital rounds and the three players pictured were only too happy to assist in the 2005 calendar project.
Clown Doctors is the core project of The Humour Foundation, a charity dedicated to promoting the health benefits of humour. International research has demonstrated the physiological and psychological benefits of laughter.
The calendar is $15 + p & h and can be ordered by phoning 1300 666 890 or visiting www.clowndoctors.com.au
