The Role
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented individual to join the League and lead the strategic direction of Indigenous, multicultural, disabled and women’s football programs, increasing opportunities for participation in Australian football.
Reporting directly to the General Manager Football, the Manager Diversity Programs will lead and influence across all areas of the Diversity Programs unit, to ensure strategic outcomes are achieved.
The Manager is responsible for developing and managing all requirements of the SANFL’s Diversity Programs, including:
- Delivering and reviewing strategic direction of programs
- Maximising outcomes through efficient management of programs and resources
- Generating new revenue streams to sustain program delivery
- Building and delivering on partnerships with government, corporate and community partners
The Candidate
It is expected that candidates will demonstrate a successful management background working with one or more of the diverse market demographics. Knowledge, experience and understanding of Indigenous people and culture is highly desirable. Key selection criteria also requires:
- Knowledge of or specific experience within the Australian football industry
or a large community based organisation - Experience and networks within Government bodies
- Able to lead, influence and manage partnerships
- Strategic planning and implementation capability
- Management of funding and grants submissions and reporting
- Business management degree or relevant tertiary qualification
