Swans Ruckman Shane Mumford has urged all supporters to get behind the QBE Sydney Swans Academy Raffle for the future benefit of the Club.
One of the Swans brightest young prospects, Mumford came to the Club fresh from playing 18 games for the Geelong Cats in their 2009 premiership year, seeing first-hand the importance of having a young generation of players go through the AFL system together.
“This is a really important fundraiser for the Club,” Mumford told SwansTV.
“Proceeds from this raffle go directly into the Academy, which gives New South Wales kids the best opportunity to one day play for the Swans alongside me and some of the other young superstars.”
The draw date for the raffle has been extended to the Swans Club Champion Dinner at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 7, with the major prize of a Volkswagen Polo Trendline at stake.
To buy tickets or sell books for the raffle, simply click here or phone the Club on 1300 663 819 to arrange everything. For every 10 tickets you sell you also gain entry into a Bonus Book Prize draw to win a prize valued at over $5,000.
Mumford has also urged all Swans supporters to get along to ANZ Stadium this Sunday afternoon as the boys face a crunch game against an in-form St Kilda outfit.
“It’s a must win game for us to get our season back on track and if we can get a really nice, big red and white crowd to get along behind us, that will give us a give us a great opportunity to (get the win),” he said.
