Swans players have celebrated Australia Day in the community.

The Swans Indigenous players, Adam Goodes, Lewis Jetta and Byron Sumner were on hand as Victoria Park in Camperdown hosted the uniquely Australian, Yabun Festival.

Yabun, the annual celebration of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander culture, presented some of the best in Indigenous music, dance and sport.

Goodes, Jetta and Sumner, visited the AFL marquee where they mixed with the crowd, signing autographs and having their photos taken with enthusiastic fans.

The players also lent a hand running some clinics for the kids, with Jetta more than willing to give some advice to the eager youngsters - and occasionally Goodes and Sumner - from the sidelines.

Fittingly, the day also heralded the launch of the new Sydney Swans Indigenous Supporter Group, “The Black Swans”. The Black Swans Supporter Group were out in force, signing new members and spruiking the virtues of the Swans to all those in attendance at Yabun.

Swans players will again be out in the community on Tuesday, February 1, when they host a community barbeque with the Indigenous All-Star team at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence. The barbeque commences at 4.30pm and all Swans fans are invited to attend.
