THE RICHMOND Football Club has issued a statement saying that it is it is investigating allegations regarding player behaviour at the team hotel in Sydney on Saturday night.

The Tigers had suffered their third loss of the season - a 55-point loss to the Swans - and the players were having post-match drinks at the bar before moving to their rooms.

It is believed that complaints were made about players misbehaving in public areas of the hotel by competitors in the World Triathlon Championship series, who were woken by the noise.

Veteran Ben Cousins, who has been in the news recently after allegations of a relapse from player-manager Ricky Olarenshaw - since withdrawn by the former Bomber - is believed to be among the players involved.

The club says it is in the process of conducting a thorough investigation and will provide a further update once it is satisfied all the facts are established.
