ST KILDA has finalised its jumper numbers for 2017, with Jack Sinclair handed the iconic No.35 worn by club great Robert Harvey.
Sinclair, who played 27 games across his first two seasons in No.40, inherits the No.35, which was vacated by rookie Josh Saunders.
The 21-year-old said it was an honour to receive the dual Brownlow medallists number, having grown up a St Kilda fan and idolising the tireless on-baller.
Young midfielder Jade Gresham has also been handed a prized number, moving from No.22 to the No.4 famously worn by Tony Lockett, Darrel Baldock and Barry Breen.
The club's first pick in last month's NAB AFL Draft, Ben Long, replaces Luke Delaney in No.21.
Fellow draftees Josh Battle (No.26) and Ed Phillips (No.30) have been handed jumpers worn by Tom Curren and Brodie Murdoch respectively in 2016.
Midfield recruit Koby Stevens will wear the No.25 he wore at the Western Bulldogs, replacing 228-game defender Sam Fisher.
Fellow trade acquisitions Jack Steele moves into the No.9 worn by Tom Lee, and Nathan Brown inherits Gresham's old No.22.
New rookie Rowan Marshall replaces Brenton Payne in No.43.
Irish recruits Darragh Joyce (No.39) and Ray Connellan (No.40) will sit side by side in the locker room in numbers worn last year by Cameron Shenton and Sinclair.
New Zealand international rookie Barclay Miller has been handed No.47, which was vacant in 2016.
