STATUS Permanent Full Time
REPORTS TO Media & Public Relations Manager
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES FOR THE POSITION To support the Media & Public Relations department and other club areas with editorial support.
IDEAL CANDIDATE This position is perfectly suited to a Journalism, PR or Communications graduate.
PRIMARY SKILLS REQUIRED
Writing skills
Ability to complete tasks quickly and to a deadline
Understanding and passion for AFL football
Ability to work well with other people
Good work ethic
PRIMARY TASKS
Editorial Editorial may be across print, video and audio mediums. It will include interviews with players / officials, feature articles, news articles, event reviews and more for the following:
Club Publications (Power to the People, Yearbook, Annual Report)
PortAdelaideFC.com.au
PlanetTeal.com.au (youth website)
Media releases
Commercial Operations collateral
All communication functions as required (outlined in Communications Officer role)
Internet
Update websites (as required)
Publications
Responsible for preparation and publication of Junior Newsletters
Communications Coordinate and prepare a number of communication functions at the club:
AFL Footy Record
AAMI Stadium Gates
Messages on Hold
Liaise with commercial operations re: AAMI Stadium SuperScreen
Information at reception
Weekly member communication
General
Provide support where required
Work with other club departments on various projects
Provide ideas to other club departments
Constantly review the way we do business to ensure we are cutting edge
