About the Collingwood Football Club 
Collingwood Football Club (CFC) was founded in 1892. Local residents, community and business leaders and politicians all hoped that having their own football club could help bring a measure of pride to a downtrodden suburb. In 2024, CFC is one of the great icons of Australian sport. Our history spans 130 years, 16 premierships and more finals appearances than any other club. Most importantly, Collingwood has grown from being a football club to a sports club with a commitment to our community. Collingwood is not made by a President, a Captain, a Coach or a CEO.  It’s not just any one player, employee, supporter or fan, Collingwood is made by many.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Member Services Team Leader, the Member & Fan Services Officer will work in a team environment to provide a high level of customer service and support for the Collingwood Football Club members and supporters.

There are two full-time positions available.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maximise membership sales and provide accurate information via telephone, email, letter and front counter duties.
  • Ensure all member complaints are resolved in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all member requests are replied to and/or addressed and resolved on the same business day.
  • Market and sell club membership products as required.
  • Provide accurate venue and seating information.
  • Assist as required in outbound telephone campaigns.
  • Ensure relevant data is gathered through all customer interactions. 
  • Effectively record all member sales, enquires and complaints.
  • Data entry of Members details within the Collingwood Membership Database
  • Ensure accurate recording of all members details within the Collingwood Membership Database 
  • Process and balance all membership sales
  • Opportunity to assist, where required, at any Collingwood FC event
  • Assist with projects relating to AFL, VFL, AFLW and/or netball
  • To provide customer service to CFC members – including face to face service, telephone, email and written enquiries
  • Problem solving and issue resolution for members
  • Opportunity to assist with match day activities 
  • To support the team with any other membership-based activities as required.
  • Maintain a reputation for excellence in all areas related to the performance of this position – and to ensure that CFC members are treated as owners of the club - in line with CFC team behaviours
  • To assist with work in the CFC Retail Superstore as required
  • Any other duties as directed by the Member Services Team Leader
