Jarrod Harbrow (Western Bulldogs)
– Shone with his dash and a game-high eight rebounds against Geelong and also had 13 effective kicks – equal most for the match.

Nathan Grima (North Melbourne) – Was pivotal in the dying stages against St Kilda, when he made the match-saving spoil after Nick Riewoldt had the final shot at goal for the match. Grima also had 21 disposals – a career best.

Brady Rawlings (North Melbourne) – Played a beauty in his 200th match. Not only did he keep the in-form Adam Schneider in check, he also accumulated 32 disposals, including 22 in the first half.

HALF BACKS
Simon Goodwin (Adelaide)
– Collected a season-high 37 disposals against West Coast. He had the most effective kicks (15) and an equal game-high 33 uncontested possessions.

Nick Maxwell (Collingwood) – Was among his side's best against the Swans. He was a rock down back and helped restrict the opposition to just 8.8.

Michael Doughty (Adelaide) – Almost mirrored his captain's performance, finishing with the same number of disposals (37), uncontested possessions (33) and rebounds (five).

CENTRES
Bryce Gibbs (Carlton)
– Instrumental in setting up the win over Melbourne, Gibbs won 32 of his equal career-best 34 disposals by the final break. He jostled with teammates Marc Murphy and Chris Judd as Carlton's best.

Andrew Swallow (North Melbourne) – Was magnificent with a personal-best 33 disposals, including 13 in the first term. He also had game highs in uncontested possessions (23) and effective kicks (15).

Adam Goodes (Sydney Swans) – Was best-on-ground, despite playing in a losing side against the Pies. He worked tirelessly, finishing with 24 disposals, 11 marks and three goals, plus four rebounds and four inside 50s.

HALF-FORWARDS
Brad Johnson (Western Bulldogs)
– Was pivotal when it mattered. He had nine touches in the second term, when the Dogs led by 19 points at half-time, and booted two goals in the last quarter to help seal the win. He had 22 touches and took 10 marks.

Lance Franklin (Hawthorn) – Was a handful against the Tigers, kicking his fifth bag of five goals for the season. It could have been more had he not also landed six behinds.

Jason Porplyzia (Adelaide) – Kicked a career-best six goals to be among his side's most influential.

FORWARDS
Jeff Garlett (Carlton)
– Played the best game yet – kicking four goals in his ninth AFL match. The rookie also laid a game-high seven tackles, highlighting his defensive pressure, and had six inside 50s.

Brendan Fevola (Carlton) – Looks set to claim this year's Coleman Medal, after booting seven goals. He now has 81 majors for the year.

Daniel Bradshaw (Brisbane Lions) – Booted five goals against Port Adelaide, despite spending some time down back.

FOLLOWERS
Aaron Sandilands (Fremantle)
– Put in a best-on-ground display against Essendon, finishing with 42 hit-outs, 21 disposals and six clearances.

Marc Murphy (Carlton) – Finished with a career-best 37 disposals (including a game-high 13 contested possessions). He also had six inside 50s and five clearances.

Gary Ablett (Geelong) – Had 40 disposals and was instrumental in helping the Cats back into the game in the second half with 23 touches.

INTERCHANGE
Drew Petrie (North Melbourne)
– Was telling in the moments that mattered. He kicked two of his four goals in the final quarter, including the match-winner. The sealer came on the back of an outstanding pack mark.

Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn) – Helped keep Hawthorn's season alive with a fine 35-disposal display, including 21 touches in the second half. Not surprisingly, he was the game's leading clearance winner (seven).

Brett Deledio (Richmond) – Produced a career-best 36 disposals (including 14 contested possessions) and one of his best performances for the Tigers. He also had five inside 50s, laid seven tackles and kicked two goals.

Adam Cooney (Western Bulldogs) – Was crucial in Friday night's win, racking up 29 disposals (including a team-high 11 contested possessions). He also chipped in with two goals, had four inside 50s and five clearances.
