AUSTRALIA'S most talented young footballers will be put through their paces at this year's NAB AFL Draft Combine this week.

The combine begins on Tuesday, October 4, and will run for four days.

Club recruiters will run their eyes over 120 draft prospects from across Australia as their speed, agility, endurance and skills are tested.

The combine will be held at Etihad Stadium for the first time after it was held at Canberra's Australian Institute of Sport for most of the camp's 18 years.

AFL national talent manager Kevin Sheehan said Etihad Stadium was well suited to the combine.

"To provide a professional testing environment a custom-made hardwood high performance floor will be laid on the Etihad Stadium surface to allow for accurate comparisons from year to year," Sheehan said.

"We will be testing more players than ever before to give AFL clubs the best possible bank of information in the lead-up to the Draft, which will be held in late November in Sydney."

Two state level combines will be held in Melbourne with one in Adelaide and another in Perth.
