ST KILDA defender Raphael Clarke could find himself at a new home next season, with both Carlton and Greater Western Sydney showing interest in him.

Clarke played just three games this year after his season was delayed due to a calf injury. He played 10 games for Sandringham in the VFL.

Clarke's manager Tim Hazell from Velocity Sports confirmed to AFL.com.au that the Giants and the Blues had shown the most interest in the 27-year-old, who is free to change clubs as an unrestricted free agent.

All discussions so far have been merely inquiring about Clarke's future, with no offer yet to be tabled.

"He was frustrated he didn't get the opportunity he felt he deserved [at St Kilda]," Hazell said.

"Like anyone who has been in the system for eight years, you'd want to be playing consistent AFL football and he feels his body is up and ready to roll. He wants to get that opportunity."

The Saints are yet to offer Clarke a new deal, instead choosing to wait out the Gillette Trade and Free Agency periods.

Since he was drafted with pick eight at the 2003 NAB AFL Draft, Clarke has played 85 games, including the 2009 Grand Final loss to Geelong.

Another Hazell client, North Melbourne's Ben Warren, has also been in discussions with Melbourne.

The Demons signed Geelong's Shannon Byrnes on Thursday and have expressed interest in Warren, who managed just the one senior game this season.

Warren has played a total of 29 senior games since debuting for North Melbourne in 2009.
