BRISBANE Lions captain Tom Rockliff looks set for a stint on the sidelines after injuring his right hamstring in the second term against Port Adelaide on Sunday.
The full extent of the 26-year-old's setback will be known following the results of scans this week.
North Melbourne midfielder Daniel Wells received a corked left thigh in the third quarter against St Kilda and spent the majority of the last term on an exercise bike at the interchange area.
The 31-year-old returned to the field in the final two minutes of the game and collected a critical touch in the tense closing moments.
Teammate Shaun Higgins sent a scare through the Kangaroos' camp after receiving a knock to his right knee in the third term, but was cleared of any structural damage and played out the last quarter with a bruised knee.
GWS co-captain Phil Davis injured his hamstring late in the match against Fremantle and is expected to miss one or two games, with the severity to be known following the results of scans.
Hawks onballer Sam Mitchell is expected to return this week after being a late withdrawal from Friday night's win over Richmond with a corked calf.
Defender James Frawley will also be assessed after missing last week due to a concussion he received against the Giants in round six, when his head collided into teammate Ben Stratton's forearm/bicep.
Tigers captain Trent Cotchin will be assessed this week after having a plate inserted last Monday to repair the fractured cheekbone he sustained against Port Adelaide in round six.
The injury was originally expected to sideline the skipper for two matches, but coach Damien Hardwick said after the loss to the Hawks that Cotchin was a good chance of featuring in Saturday night's clash against the Sydney Swans.
Collingwood's Ben Reid injured the AC joint in his left shoulder after colliding into Blue Levi Casboult's head/shoulder in the third quarter, while Tim Broomhead also went off in the third term with a suspected ankle injury.
In other injuries at the weekend:
- Bombers top-up recruit Jonathan Simpkin sustained a left hamstring strain while performing a kick inside 50 in the opening quarter against the Swans.
- Geelong's Lincoln McCarthy went down into the rooms with an ankle injury in the first quarter against West Coast. He had his ankle strapped but failed to return to the field. Cats coach Chris Scott said the 22-year-old was "unlikely" to be fit for Friday night's away clash against Adelaide, with more to be known following the results of scans.
- Cat Nakia Cockatoo came off the ground with an upper right calf complaint in the first term. The 19-year-old returned to the field before half-time and played out the match despite the heavily strapped calf.
- Experienced Sun Matt Rosa injured his left hamstring in the second term against Melbourne and took no further part in the match.
- Suns midfielder Alex Sexton hurt his right wrist/forearm in a Clayton Oliver tackle during the second term, and was taken to hospital shortly afterwards to have scans.

- Swans backman Dan Robinson received an accidental knee to his left shoulder from Bombers skipper Brendon Goddard in a marking contest in the second quarter.
- Blue Dale Thomas fell awkwardly on his right elbow after attempting to tackle Magpie Adam Treloar in the latter part of the first term. The 28-year-old came off the ground, but returned to the field after escaping serious injury.
- Collingwood forward Travis Cloke pulled out of the VFL side's match against Sandringham on Saturday with a back complaint.
- Axed Magpies vice-captain Nathan Brown suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter of the VFL match against the Zebras. He sat out the rest of the game and had ice applied to his upper leg.
