Recent heavy rain has forced the closure of Skilled Stadium’s two main public car parks for Sunday’s game against North Melbourne.

Opposition club, umpires and AFL officials will be relocated to the Ford Stand carpark, with the media to be relocated to the southern sealed carpark. Limited disabled car parks will be available in the Ford Stand car park and southern sealed car park.

Skilled Stadium’s sealed car park - which is reserved for pass holders - will remain open on Sunday.

“While we need the rain, unfortunately it means we’ve had to close both of the public car parks at Skilled Stadium,” City of Greater Geelong Mayor Cr John Mitchell said.

He said those going to the game may need to alter their regular travel plans.

“If you’re driving to Sunday’s game, head in a bit earlier and find a park on surrounding streets. Otherwise try and get dropped off or take public transport to the game.”
