Position: VFL Assistant Coach

Location: Kinetic Stadium

Reports to: VFL Senior Coach

The role of Assistant Coach is a significant role in the support of the Frankston Football Club program. The assistant coach will be required to coach a specific area and develop players under the direction of the VFL Senior Coach. The assistant coaching role is pivotal in support the creation of an enjoyable, connected and professional environment.

DAY IN THE LIFE

• Coaching duties on match day responsible for a specific line
• Attend and contribute to weekly training sessions
• Collaborate, devise and contribute to game plan strategy and overall direction of the football program
• Coding of match day vision for review
• Prepare and present line & individual reviews & previews for players
• Active member of match committee
• Provide support and coaching to players in line with individual development plans

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory

• Level 2 coaching accreditation or above
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop young talent

Desirable

• Previous coaching experience in talent pathways / VFL or AFL programs
• Demonstrated knowledge of SportsCode & Hudl
• Understanding of the Mornington Peninsula football region
