Position: VFL Assistant Coach
Location: DSV Stadium
Reports to: VFL Senior Coach
The Williamstown Football Club is seeking a dedicated and dynamic VFL Assistant Coach to play an integral role in supporting our football program. This position requires coaching a specific line and fostering player development in alignment with the guidance and direction of the VFL Senior Coach. The successful candidate will help cultivate a positive, connected, and professional environment for both players and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute coaching responsibilities for a specific line on match days.
• Participate in and contribute to weekly training sessions.
• Collaborate in developing game plan strategies and defining the overall direction of the football program.
• Code match day footage for post-game analysis and review.
• Prepare and present reviews and previews for individual players and specific lines.
• Serve as an active member of the match committee.
• Support and mentor players according to their individual development plans.
Required:
• Level 2 Coaching Accreditation or higher.
• Proven communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing young talent.
Preferred:
• Previous experience in talent pathways or within VFL or AFL programs.
• Knowledge of Keynote & SportsCode software.
• Level 3 Coaching Accreditation.
