The West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) is the peak Australian Rules Football body in Western Australia and plays a key leadership, governance and funding role to football throughout the State, whilst also driving the overall development and growth of the sport.

Key responsibilities:
- Driving and monitoring Western Australia’s delivery of the AFL Women and Girls Game Development Action Plan.
- Supporting the growth of women and girls playing, coaching, umpiring, and leading our game and improving their experience.
- Work closely with Managers across the WAFC to deliver outcomes for women and girls
- Supporting the delivery of state specific initiatives required by the business.
- Support in the development and implementation of Club Leadership Diversity Programs across WA.
Essential:
- A sound understanding of WA Football structure and system
- Experience in developing and implementing strategy
- Understanding of community football/participation programs or similar in another sport
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation skills
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised
- Experience working across complex and high-profile stakeholders
- Ability to lead and interact confidently with groups of participants and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to innovate
- Current WA Drivers Licence
- Working with Children card
Desirable:
- Understanding the various segments of Community Football (Club and School) in Western Australia
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
