Thunda did his bit for charity last Wednesday when he helped Kim, Ali and Dzelde from MMM with their Lamington Drive.

Thunda got up especially early to head out to the car park at Sefton Plaza on Main North Road to encourage passers by to purchase a dozen fresh lamingtons.

This year proceeds from the Lamington Drive are going to the Phoenix Society, a not-for-profit organisation that has been providing job opportunities for people with intellectual and physical disabilities

Things Thunda discovered about lamingtons

Lamingtons are named after Charles Cochrane-Baillie, 2nd Baron Lamington, who served as Governor of Queensland from 1896 to 1901. Friday 21 July 2006 was designated as National Lamington Day in Australia.

Stats: each Lamo is 5.5cm square and 4.5cm high, so if we sell 65,000 that's 3575m of Lamos. Which will be 20 times the length of AAMI stadium. They will stand 2925m tall - that's 21 Westpac Buildings or over 651 stories tall!
