THREE players, including dual Brownlow medallist Adam Goodes, are facing one-match bans after the AFL match review panel handed down its findings from round 13 of action last weekend.
Adelaide defender Nathan Bassett and Port Adelaide's Matt Thomas have also been offered one-match sanctions.
Goodes was found to have engaged in rough conduct against Melbourne's Clint Bartram in the second quarter of the Swans' 40-point win over the Demons at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Sunday afternoon. Existing carry-over points from a poor record over the last 12 months means the star Swan cannot avoid a one-match ban even with an early guilty plea.
Veteran Crow Bassett was charged with striking Jed Adcock of the Brisbane Lions in his side's narrow loss at the Gabba on Saturday night, while Thomas was charged with a rough conduct offense against Richmond's Joel Bowden in the Power's nail-biting loss to the Tigers at AAMI Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Fremantle's Robert Warnock will be able to play this weekend if he accepts an early plea after the panel charged him with a Level One charging offense against St Kilda's Luke Ball at Telstra Dome on Friday night.
Saints' utility Brendon Goddard, who remonstrated immediately with the Dockers ruckman after the first quarter incident, has been charged with wrestling, and can accept a $900 fine with an early plea.
