POSITION TITLE: Social Media & Digital Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Digital Content Manager
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Digital and Social Media Coordinator is responsible for implementing content across Richmond’s digital platforms, most prominently social media and the Club’s website and app. This role supports the Digital Content Manager in driving key digital results, with a focus on engaging fans, telling compelling stories and platform growth.
The Digital and Social Media Coordinator plays a pivotal role in capturing and sharing everything Richmond through social media posts, interviews and written articles. Exploring new ways to innovate across digital channels and storytelling, they help strengthen the connection between the Club and its members and supporters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for social media channels, aligning with the Club’s strategy.
- Develop and implement social media schedules with a focus on storytelling and increasing engagement.
- Promote Club collaborations, partnerships, and marketing activities through social media.
- Act as a liaison between digital and football departments for social media opportunities.
- Engage with online communities, moderate platforms, and provide real-time updates on game days.
- Develop written and video content for the Club website, including feature articles and interviews.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Degree or qualification in Digital Media/Communications or similar.
- Strong written skills and experience conducting interviews preferable.
- 3 years’ relevant experience.
- Extensive experience creating and publishing content on all social media platforms.
- Experience using a CMS preferable.
- A broad understanding of The Richmond Football Club, AFL and the sporting industry.
