FIRST round draft pick Brayden Fiorini will make his debut for Gold Coast against Collingwood at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
It's been a long wait for Fiorini after rupturing a lateral collateral ligament earlier this season, but his NEAFL form has been irresistible since returning from a three-month layoff.
The former Northern Knight – taken at No.20 in last year's NAB AFL Draft – was best on ground with 40 disposals last week, which was hot on the heels of 31 touches and four goals in another NEAFL outing.
"Rocket came in before training (on Thursday) and told all the boys and myself as well, so pretty stoked and can’t wait to get out there,” Fiorini told the club's website.
Fiorini will be the 40th Gold Coast player to run out this season, with star midfielders Jaeger O'Meara and David Swallow the only senior-listed players to not play.
The 18-year-old said his instructions were simple for his first game.
"Just take the game on, nothing to lose now so hopefully we get the win and finish off the year well."
