The St Kilda Football Club held its annual Corporate Golf Day yesterday, in the beautiful surroundings of the prestigious Peninsula Golf and Country Club in Frankston.
Competitors played in groups of four, with a St Kilda player or coaching staff member playing with each team. Participants used this rare opportunity to mix with Saints personnel and pick up a few tips along the way.
Captain Nick Riewoldt was striking the ball well off the tee, while Brett Peake’s vibrant golfing attire was another highlight of the day.
Ryan Gamble’s side which included John Arvanitis, Mario Gomizelj and Bill Ferg were the standout team of the day, taking out first prize in the post-match presentation.
Each member of the winning side won a limited edition customised St Kilda Callaway Golf bag, with numerous other fantastic prizes awarded to the runner up teams.
Ryan Gamble also won the best individual stableford score of the day with 45 points, although a number of questions were raised about his high handicap of 27.
Before hitting the field, guests were treated to a gourmet barbeque lunch and also enjoyed the chef’s selection of canapés, snacks and drinks during the post-match presentation.
No one went away empty handed, with all team members taking home an exclusive St Kilda Callaway gift pack.
