West Australian Football League 2011 premiers Claremont are looking for a new senior head coach for the 2012 season.
Premiership coach Simon McPhee has departed to further his coaching career at AFL level as part of Scott Watters' new-look coaching panel at St Kilda.
The Tigers will undertake a thorough interview process to find their new coach before the start of pre-season training at the beginning of December.
Claremont CEO Todd Shimmon said the job with the reigning premier would be an enticing one.
"We're involved in Foxtel Cup again next year and we have a pretty good list at the moment with league and reserves winning a premiership. I think it's a pretty good job to take on.''
To be considered for this role, applicants will need significant and successful experience developing players, along with outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Suitable applicants will possess;
People Management & Planning:
??Capacity to effectively manage talented athletes and staff
??Ability to lead and influence within a high performance environment
??Demonstrate structured and sequential planning within a dynamic football season.
? Display a good understanding of Indigenous culture
Football Knowledge:
??Ability to build a successful culture / club / playing group
??Strong knowledge of coaching techniques / strategies
??Sound understanding of skill development learning strategies
??Sound knowledge of WAFL Football / Talent Pathway / programs
??Commitment to ongoing personal development in the area of coach education.
Effective Communication:
??Highly developed and proven communication (written, verbal, visual), interpersonal skills.
Qualification:
??Level 2 coach accreditation (minimum)
??Significant and successful AFL, WAFL or comparative coaching experience
