GC17 is on the hunt for a chief executive for the inaugural Gold Coast side.
Collingwood assistant Guy McKenna was confirmed as the side’s first coach on Wednesday.
Chairman John Witheriff said the chief executive would be responsible for building the club and its support structure from the ground up.
"This is one of the most challenging and exciting roles in AFL football," Witheriff said.
"The successful candidate will need to be able to take us on our journey to create the most exciting sporting club in Australia.
"We are expecting a strong response to the call for candidates. This is an attractive proposition and a rare opportunity to take on a high profile sporting administration role in the fastest growing region in Australia."
Key criteria to be considered by GC17 for role includes the ability to lead the organisation, build a commercial business, build and shape the identity and supporter base, establish the club's infrastructure and community engagement program and oversee key football decision making.
GC17 also wants the chief executive to establish community support by building strategic partnerships with governments, regional and local football bodies, community football associations, the AFL and AFL clubs.
Applications for the position will close in two weeks.
