GEELONG forward Stewart Crameri has been taken to hospital after receiving a poke in the eye in the team's VFL clash against North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday.
The incident occurred late in the second quarter and Crameri failed to re-emerge after half-time in the Cats' huge 100-point win.
Crameri had booted three goals in the first half and was taken to a local Geelong hospital for assessment.
The former Bulldog and Bomber has played four AFL games for the Cats and was dropped for the round 11 game against Gold Coast.
Returning trio Lachie Henderson, Scott Selwood and Cam Guthrie got through their first matches back from injuries unscathed.
For North Melbourne, Braydon Preuss sat out large parts of the second half and received work on a hip complaint.
