THE INJURY curse at Greater Western Sydney has struck again with co-captain Phil Davis ruled out of Saturday's blockbuster against Collingwood at Giants Stadium.
After losing star midfielder Stephen Coniglio last round, and already missing Josh Kelly and Callan Ward, the Giants will now also be without their chief defender.
Former Pies big man Lachie Keeffe is in for Davis, with GWS desperately needing to arrest a three-game losing slide to shore up a finals spot.
Meanwhile, diminutive defender Caleb Daniel and midfield bull Tom Liberatore are back to bolster the Western Bulldogs' late finals surge ahead of Sunday's danger game against St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.
All Australian contender Daniel missed the past two wins over Geelong and Melbourne and returns as the Dogs aim for four-straight victories.
Liberatore has shrugged off a knee injury and will play his first game in more than a month, while Bailey Dale has also been called up.
Ed Richards and Toby McLean have been lost to hamstrings, while Bailey Williams has been dropped.
If the Dogs win they will be knocking on the door of the eight, while the Saints are playing for pride after coach Alan Richardson's exit.
ALL THE TEAMS Check 'em out
Caretaker coach Brett Ratten has made two changes, handing a debut to Doulton Langlands and recalling exciting forward Matt Parker.
Ben Long (personal leave) and Daniel McKenzie (omitted) make way.
Hawthorn will make a solitary change after knocking over Fremantle, with star Jack Gunston coming in for Daniel Howe (omitted) for the clash with arch-rival Geelong.
The Cats have brought back defender Jake Kolodjashnij from concussion and James Parsons has forced his way into the line-up for the first time since round 11.
Brandon Parfitt (back) and James Henry (managed) go out, with Scott Selwood still waiting for his first game in 2019.
FULL FIXTURE Every round, every game
The Eagles will roll the dice with pinch-hitting ruckman Oscar Allen supporting Tom Hickey against Melbourne giants Max Gawn and Braydon Preuss for a must-win clash in Alice Springs.
West Coast has left potential debutant Bailey Williams out, and brought in mobile tall forward Jake Waterman and speedster Jack Petruccelle to replace injured ruck Nic Naitanui (ankle) and small forward Jamie Cripps (adductor).
Melbourne has decided two Wagners is better than one – naming Corey and brother Josh – while axing Mitch Hannan and mid-season rookie draftee Kyle Dunkley after two games.
Meanwhile, Fremantle has confirmed injury-prone Stephen Hill will miss Saturday night's intriguing home contest against Sydney.
Hill pulled up from his first game back from a hamstring strain with yet more quad soreness and has been replaced by previously omitted half-back Ethan Hughes.
The under-pressure Dockers have lost four-straight and after sitting sixth a month ago could slip below the 14th-placed Swans with another defeat.
