Who they're after: Still an active player after the past two busy off-seasons, the Lions have landed Adelaide free agent Cam Ellis-Yolmen and are in the box seat to attract Gold Coast utility Callum Ah Chee via trade. They have also emerged as a contender to lure Collingwood's Jamie Elliott to add to the forward mix. The Magpie toured Lions HQ on Saturday.
Who might leave: Quite a few players still in limbo with Tom Cutler attracting interest from clubs in Melbourne and Lewy Taylor from Sydney. Allen Christensen is among a number of out-of-contract players, as well as unrestricted free agents Ryan Lester and Ryan Bastinac. - Michael Whiting

Who they're after: Carlton is red hot on clever forward Tom Papley and will secure a reunion with former club great Eddie Betts. Classy midfielder Jack Martin has requested a trade to Ikon Park, while Carlton is also eyeing additional ruck depth. There is some interest in Tom Cutler and Riley Knight.
Who might leave: Back-up ruckman Andrew Phillips is weighing up his options, having only received a one-year offer from Carlton. Versatile tall Levi Casboult is in a similar boat, as he searches for more long-term security despite triggering an extension to stay at Ikon Park. Who they're after: They'll get Swans ruckman Darcy Cameron but may have to up the ante to keep Jamie Elliott with bigger deals on offer from Brisbane and Melbourne. They enter trade period mindful of Scott Pendlebury, Jordan De Goey, Darcy Moore and Brodie Grundy coming off contract next year but that hasn't stopped Josh Jenkins being mentioned in the same sentence as Collingwood.
Who might leave: Elliott heads the list with Melbourne throwing a three-year offer on the table and Brisbane inviting him to tour the club's facilities. Ben Reid is expected to get another year but Lynden Dunn and Travis Varcoe appear in limbo and might have to wait to see what transpires. - Jennifer Phelan

Who they're after: The Bombers are interested in Port Adelaide key defender Dougal Howard, and could also be keen on Power midfielder Sam Powell-Pepper. Their keenness to add to their ruck division sees them also considering Geelong big man Zac Smith and Carlton's Andrew Phillips. Brisbane utility Tom Cutler is also on the Bombers' radar.
Who might leave: Much of Essendon's activity will depend on the departures. Joe Daniher has requested a trade to Sydney and Essendon will be demanding a great return for the key forward – potentially two first-round picks – while they will also be targeting Port Adelaide's first selection if Orazio Fantasia requests a trade to the Power. AFL.com.au revealed Freo's interest in fringe Tigers wingman Connor Menadue as they prepare to lose some prime movers.
Who might leave: Elite runners Bradley Hill and Ed Langdon are both headed for the exit door, with Hill nominating St Kilda as his club of choice as he hopes to be released from the final two years of his contract. Melbourne is keen on Langdon to add some outside pace. Connor Blakely is "gettable" according to reports but seems unlikely to leave. – Travis King

Who they're after: Four-time St Kilda best and fairest Jack Steven is a target as the Cats look to add speed to a midfield lacking pace. The Cats went after – and missed – North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein late in the season, so they could look to that department again.
Who might leave: Gun midfielder Tim Kelly wants to get to West Coast and talks with the Eagles will ramp up on Monday. Lachie Henderson and Wylie Buzza remain without contract offers along with Zac Smith who has interest from his previous club Gold Coast and Essendon. - Mitch Cleary

Who might leave: After seven years at the club – and six on the senior list – Jack Martin has requested a trade to Carlton. Collingwood's Sam Murray, who is currently serving a ban from ASADA for traces of cocaine found in a match-day test, has also been linked to Melbourne. He is able to resume training on December 17 and can play two months after that.

Who might leave: Andrew Gaff's name has been raised in trade speculation but it has been reported the Victorian isn't in Geelong's sights and he would seem almost certain to stay only 12 months after turning his back on North Melbourne's interest. – Travis King

Who they're after: Adelaide defender Alex Keath has nominated the Bulldogs as his preferred destination and a second-round pick should get that done. The Dogs are also targeting Saint Josh Bruce, and have expressed interest in Sun Jack Martin. They'll also be keeping a close eye on Sam Gray and Dan Butler as they look for another small forward.
Who might leave: Player retention looks pretty good at this stage, with no current Dogs linked to other clubs. They've got some list spots open as they had three retirees in 2019 (Tom Boyd, Liam Picken and Dale Morris) and unrestricted free agents Tory Dickson and Fletcher Roberts are still holding out hope of being offered new deals. - Josh Schonafinger
