WEST Coast forward Daniel Venables has been stretchered off in the second quarter of the Eagles’ Friday night clash with Melbourne at Optus Stadium.
Venables ran towards a marking contest and copped an accidental knock to his head from Dees forward Tim Smith's right hip.

He lay motionless on the turf before being taken off.
Coach Adam Simpson said the young forward was in reasonable shape post-match in the rooms.
"He seemed up and about but a little bit groggy," Simpson said.
"We'll have to take the right protocols throughout the week and see how he goes."
Venable's teammate Tom Hickey limped off late in the second term with an ankle injury, but returned in the second half and played out the match.

The ruckman was a late inclusion, replacing Will Schofield in West Coast's selected side.
