EMERGING Carlton midfielder Sam Walsh will contest his $1500 misconduct fine at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
Walsh, the No.1 selection at last year's NAB AFL Draft and favourite for the Rising Star award, was fined by the Match Review Officer, Michael Christian, for pushing Collingwood's Jordan De Goey into the path of an umpire.
Walsh would remain eligible for the Rising Star even if his fine stands.
All other sanctions from round eight were accepted.
North Melbourne's Sam Durdin will miss a match for rough conduct against Geelong's Gary Rohan after a head-clash during a shepherd left the Cat concussed.
West Coast's Jeremy McGovern and Hawthorn's James Frawley both accepted $2000 fines for rough conduct.
