Knight and Kelly are in doubt for Sunday's crucial encounter with the Western Bulldogs at Ballarat. Knight was a late scratching from last weekend's loss to Collingwood with hip soreness, while Kelly copped a knock to his shin and finished the game on the bench. Ellis-Yolmen has been ruled out for the rest of the year with bone and tendon issues limiting his progression from a shin injury. The big-bodied midfielder hasn't played since round 13. - Lee Gaskin

Moore faces a test and could return for the big final round clash with Essendon at the MCG on Friday night. De Goey and Aish will target the Pies' first final, while Wells and Sier appear set to return in the VFL. Quaynor still seems some time away and Kelly is also being managed conservatively, while Reid faces an uphill battle to play again this season. The suspended Stephenson will be available at finals time but the campaign is over for Cox, Langdon, Beams and Dunn. - Ben Collins

The return of Bellchambers after his calf injury is particularly timely given Clarke will be off his feet for a couple of weeks with bone stress in his fibula. Hooker is also expected back after missing last week with a groin injury. Zaharakis underwent surgery and is unlikely to be available for the rest of the season, even if the Bombers went deep into September, while first-year Bombers Mosquito (hamstring) and Gown (foot) have had surgery on their issues. - Callum Twomey

Haynes was injured in Sunday's loss to the Western Bulldogs but could be ready for week one of the finals. Jeremy Cameron (hamstring), Jeremy Finlayson (hamstring), Sam Taylor (hamstring) and Daniel Lloyd (calf) are all available to face the Suns on Saturday night. Hopper is likely to play in the first final. Ward ran for the first time on Tuesday in a positive sign for the co-captain. - Adam Curley

Lewis is set to miss a second game in a row, with his injured shoulder not sufficiently recovered. Morrison broke his jaw in the VFL on Sunday, underwent surgery the same day and the recovery period of up to six weeks rules him out for the rest of the season. Glass had a setback in the VFL as well, but may not miss any games, while project ruckman Reeves is dealing with a hip complaint. Dan Howe (managed) was withdrawn from the side to meet Gold Coast last week. - Marc McGowan

Max Gawn (hamstring) and Jordan Lewis (corked shin) are right to go after minor incidents last round. The club is yet to confirm if Oscar McDonald and Petty are fit to play after missing last week. Unfortunately, it's one and done for debutant Chandler, who fractured his finger during his first AFL match, but played out the game. Weideman has now had surgery on both hips, with the aim of re-joining the main group in December. VFL side Casey is still a chance to make finals if results go its way, with Sparrow the only one who could return. – Sarah Black

Anderson's latest hamstring setback is likely to sideline him from the Roos' season finale against Melbourne, while last week's late withdrawal, Ahern, is in some doubt as well. However, they are confident Tarrant will make the trip to Hobart. Tyson's horror first season in blue and white is over after sustaining a shoulder injury in just his second VFL game back from a persistent calf problem. First-year forward Taylor also won't be seen again in 2019, after missing the past fortnight's matches. - Marc McGowan

Duursma will be put through his paces at training this week to see if he will return from a bruised heel for Sunday's clash with Fremantle at Adelaide Oval. Ebert could be available for the finals if the Power make an unlikely charge into the top eight. - Lee Gaskin

Stack underwent surgery on Monday night for an ankle syndesmosis injury which occurred in the VFL. Grimes will need to get through training, while Cotchin should be right to go this round after being held over an extra week. The picture isn't as clear for Nankervis, who is battling adductor/groin soreness stemming back to his long-term injury earlier this year. - Sarah Black

The one to watch for this week is Gresham. He hasn't played since the round 20 loss to Adelaide as he deals with a fractured eye socket, and the Saints won't take any risks in the final round of the season. - Dinny Navaratnam

Franklin and McVeigh both trained on Tuesday and look on track to face St Kilda on Saturday, in what would be Franklin's 300th match and McVeigh's farewell game. The Eagles could regain Duggan against Hawthorn after he got through his WAFL return from an ankle issue last Friday night, and they will be sweating on Naitanui pulling up without soreness as he ramps up his comeback from a syndesmosis problem. Hutchings' repeat hamstring setback could rule him out until the second week of finals, and the tagger might find it tough to regain his spot. – Travis King
