DAMIAN Barrett expects Carlton to sack under-siege coach Brendon Bolton at season's end, as pressure mounts following a dismal opening to the 2019 season.
With the Blues languishing with one win from nine rounds, Barrett told The Sounding Board podcast that Bolton will be unable "to sell hope into 2020 with him now in his fourth year".
BARRETT'S MARGIN CALL Big guns make flag chase a race in five
Craig Hutchison said a number of rival suitors will be jostling for "the most aspirational footy job", with the Blues young and talent-laden list one of the most enviable in the competition.
Hutchison encouraged the Blues board to be bold and make an advance on arguably the League's most valuable coach, Alastair Clarkson.
FANTASY FORM WATCH Big boys come out to play
"I would think he (Clarkson) gets 20 or 30 approaches a year," Hutchison said.
"If I were wooing Alastair Clarkson, I would woo Alastair Clarkson the way Alastair Clarkson woos everyone else – turn up on his front door."
