FREMANTLE will challenge in-form forward Michael Walters' one-match headbutting suspension at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
Walters was offered the one-game ban from the Match Review Officer on Monday, with his headbutt on Melbourne's Jay Lockhart graded as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.
FULL STATEMENT All the charges
It's believed the evidence of umpire Curtis Deboy – who reported Walters at the time of the headbutt – will be crucial in the Tribunal's hearing, especially given the lack of clear vision.
Walters will join West Coast defender Jeremy McGovern at the Tribunal, with both clubs electing to risk $10,000 fines and challenge their players' respective one-match bans.
Michael Walters has been reported for headbutting.

McGovern had been offered his own one-match suspension after pushing Essendon's Matt Guelfi into a fence on Thursday night, leaving the Bombers youngster with concussion.
His incident had been graded as careless conduct, with medium impact to the head.
McGovern's case will begin at 3pm AWST (5pm AEST), with Walters' hearing to begin at 4.30pm AWST (6.30pm AEST).
As things stand, McGovern will miss West Coast's clash with Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday, while Walters will miss Fremantle's game with Carlton at Optus Stadium on Sunday.
