THE BYE rounds are officially over and we’ve all subbed our best-22 players back onto the field. Normality has been restored as we tackle the new round ahead.
The biggest news out of team announcements has been the withdrawal of Patrick Cripps due to injury. Rumours have been circulating and to the despair of his coaches, he has been listed out for the next 1-2 weeks with a leg injury and now must be traded.
Nic Naitanui makes his long-awaited return, as he meets the Hawks on Saturday afternoon.
Some debutants have been thrown our way with Adelaide naming 22-year-old Ben Davis (FWD, $170,000). Davis has averaged 76 in the SANFL from his 10 games.
Kyron Hayden (FWD/MID, $170,000) finally gets his first game in the big league after averaging 2.2 goals in the VFL at 53 points per game.
However, Hawthorn’s Oliver Hanrahan (FWD, $170,000) potentially offers us another bargain basement rookie with slightly more job security than Davis and Hayden.
Hanrahan scored 88 in the VFL last week to average 60 across the season. He’s named in the forward pocket and hopefully will remain in the team for the weeks to come.

Caleb Daniel (FWD/DEF, $667,000)
The Dogs' running defender has been racking up huge numbers of late with a three-game average of 117 on the back of 135. He has a breakeven of just 61.
Jack Macrae (MID, $726,000)
Finally, the Dogs ball-magnet is back playing the role his coaches want and his scoring reflects that with 140 and 180 in his past two. He has a breakeven of 55.
Dan Hannebery (MID, $455,000)
Didn’t miss a beat on debut for the Saints and scored 103 despite being eased back with low time on ground. Provides a viable mid-priced option.

Lachie Neale (MID, $633,000)
The Lions ball-magnet isn’t converting his ball-winning ability into Fantasy scores at the moment with a three-game average of 93. Elite premiums need more.
Xavier Duursma (DEF/MID, $545,000)
There is certainly nothing wrong with holding the legendary Cash Cow but for many teams the time is right to upgrade him to an uber-premium defender. He has a breakeven of 79.
David Mundy (FWD/MID, $587,000)
After a run of hot form, the Dockers champion has slowed down with a three-game average of just 66. He has a breakeven of 130 and needs to go.

No.1 – Patrick Dangerfield v Adelaide @ GMHBA

Adelaide is Dangerfield’s favourite team to score against where he has averaged 135 in his past three against them. At the moment, the Crows are the second-easiest for midfielders to score against. He's back at home on a Friday night, and I’m expecting big things. I hope!
No.2 – Luke Parker v Gold Coast @ the SCG
Parker is running hot at the moment with an average of 128 in his past three after a huge 157 last week. The Suns are the easiest for teams to score against this year and Parker will be cashing in, just like he has in his past three games against them when he had 119, 117 and 121.
No.3 – Adam Treloar v Kangaroos @ Marvel Stadium
After a nice 128 under the roof last week, Treloar will once again be set to dominate against the Roos. He has now averaged 126 in his past three games at Marvel and should be great once again.
No.4 – Nat Fyfe v Carlton @ Optus Stadium
Fyfe scored 125 against the Blues last year and meets them at home, a ground he has 5x100+ scores on from his six games this year.
No.5 – Clayton Oliver v Brisbane @ the Gabba
In recent weeks, Brisbane has been giving up plenty of points. Billings (117), Cripps (151) and Walsh (137) all got busy over their past two games and I’m expecting Oliver to do the same. He scored 125 against them last year at the Gabba where he meets them again this week.
