YOUNG Bomber Jayden Laverde has suffered another injury setback after straining his hamstring in the VFL.
The Essendon forward is set for at least two weeks on the sidelines after playing in the club's VFL win on Sunday.
FROM THE TWOS Who's pressing their claims in the state leagues?
Laverde has endured a tough injury run in his time at Essendon, including a serious hamstring strain in February that delayed his start to this season.
The 22-year-old has played six games this season but has been back at VFL level in recent weeks.
Fellow Bomber Travis Colyer also underwent scans on Monday but the club says he has been cleared of any injury.
Colyer has returned to football after missing the first half of the season with a foot injury.
