Explanations:
Contact between St Kilda’s Josh Battle and the Western Bulldogs’ Dale Morris was assessed. Battle has the ball and prepares to kick. Morris comes in from the side and in an attempt to affect the kick bumps Battle shoulder to chest with an accidental clash of heads. It was the view of the Match Review Officer that the Western Bulldogs’ player executed the bump with contact to the body and could not have reasonably foreseen a clash of heads between players. Morris’ contact was not unreasonable in the circumstances and no further action was taken.
