The AFL advises the Match Review of last night’s Round Five Sydney Swans v Adelaide Crows match at the SCG has been completed. No charges have been laid with two other matters that required explanation.
Incidents assessed:
Contact between the Sydney Swans’ Callum Sinclair and the Adelaide Crows’ Richard Douglas from the third quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. It was the view of the match review officer that Sinclair was seeking to tackle when high contact was made with an open hand. A free kick was paid at the time. The action by Sinclair was not a swinging arm and no further action was taken.
Contact between the Sydney Swans Heath Grundy and the Adelaide Crows’ Tom Lynch from the third quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. The level of force in the contact was below that deemed required for a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
