PORT Adelaide star Robbie Gray is a late scratching from the inaugural AFLX tournament at Hindmarsh Stadium.
Gray reported a sore adductor following the Power's training session on Wednesday.
The Power expect Gray to be available for their opening game of the JLT Community Series against West Coast in Perth on Sunday week.
Tom Clurey, Todd Marshall, Jasper Pittard and Trent McKenzie have also been withdrawn from the squad the Power announced on Monday.
Melbourne recruit Jack Watts will captain the Power for AFLX.
General manager of football Chris Davis said Watts had shown he was a leader during his short time at the club.
"Jack’s really excited by the opportunity," Davies said.
"It’s a unique honour for him to be captaining Port Adelaide in his first official game wearing our jumper.
"Jack is the most experienced player in our AFLX squad and has demonstrated leadership skills across his first pre-season here at the club so he is a logical replacement for Robbie."
