CLASSY Gold Coast midfielder Jack Martin could be out for the season, with his calf injury worse than first thought.
Martin suffered the setback at training last week and missed Saturday's historic upset over Sydney, but further testing has revealed he will now miss multiple weeks.
General manager of football operations Jon Haines told the club's website Martin would likely be sidelined for three to four weeks, but the official injury list has him down to sit out four or five.
Martin has been a standout in a rough year for the Suns, excelling in roles through the midfield, forward and occasionally back.
Rugged teenage forward Brayden Crossley was a casualty from the victory over the Swans, fracturing his cheekbone during the second quarter.
He played out the match, but will miss up to three matches.
Nick Holman will be a test ahead of playing his former club Carlton this Saturday after copping a knock to his shoulder against the Swans.
Pearce Hanley and Ben Ainsworth will both play in the NEAFL after missing last weekend through illness.
