LUKE Hodge will miss the opportunity to take on his former Hawthorn teammates in Launceston this afternoon with the Lions veteran a late withdrawal due to a calf knock suffered earlier in the week.
Hodge had travelled to Launceston but the Lions opted to take a conservative approach with the injury, hoping to avoid further soft-tissue damage for the 319-game veteran who has made 14 appearances for the Lions since moving north at the end of 2017.
