WILL Richmond make it the Grand Final for the second-straight year or will Collingwood spring a massive surprise? And will Melbourne's fairytale run roll on or will West Coast return to the big dance for the second time in four years.

Our reporters have their say on the weekend's preliminary finals, picking their winners and taking a stab at how the two big games will play out.

Check out their tips below.

Riley Beveridge

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 11 points
Most disposals: Steele Sidebottom (29)
First goal: Josh Caddy
The man: Dylan Grimes. Expect him to go to Jordan De Goey. Should he shut him down, the Tigers will be well on their way to victory.
The moment: Tagged by Levi Greenwood, Richmond superstar Dustin Martin goes forward to kick consecutive goals and pave the way for a Tigers win.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by 15 points
Most disposals: Clayton Oliver (32)
First goal: Josh Kennedy
The man: Jack Darling. If the big West Coast forward can replicate his form from early in the season, he can help power the Eagles to victory. Expect him to kick a bag.
The moment: Playing in just his second final, Liam Ryan takes a massive hanger and converts the set shot to hand the Eagles a crucial buffer.

Sarah Black

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 15 points
Most disposalsAdam Treloar (33)
First goal: Daniel Rioli
The man: Collingwood's dangerous array of forwards means Richmond's backline will be the key to this match. Nick Vlastuin's ability to play both as an intercept and lock-down defender will prove to be crucial.
The moment: With Collingwood surging in the final quarter and Richmond desperately clinging onto a lead, the 2018 Coleman medallist Jack Riewoldt will soar high above a pack, take a contested mark and coolly convert a set-shot from 45 metres to seal the game.

WEST COAST V MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by 27 points
Most disposalsElliot Yeo (36)
First goal: Jake Melksham
The man: Not exactly going out on a limb here, but Jeremy McGovern holds the key to halting Melbourne's fast-break forward game. If the Dees can catch him out of position, they win, but McGovern's in red-hot form and will steer the Eagles to victory.
The moment: Liam 'Flyin' Ryan will steal the spotlight with a signature speckie, before landing on his feet and flicking the ball over to an unguarded Willie Rioli in the goalsquare. Rioli boots it home to take the margin to 20 points with three minutes left, crushing the hearts of the Melbourne faithful.

Nick Bowen

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 27 points
Most disposals: Steele Sidebottom (35)
First goal: Josh Thomas
The man: Dylan Grimes gets the crucial job on Jordan De Goey and takes the mercurial Magpies forward almost completely out of
the match, allowing just one late goal.
The moment: Collingwood goes into the three-quarter time break less than a goal down, but at the start of the final term Dustin Martin bursts from the centre square and goals from outside 50m, sparking a run of four unanswered Richmond goals.

WEST COAST V MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by nine points
Most disposals: Angus Brayshaw (33)
First goal: Tom McDonald
The man: With Elliot Yeo well held by James Harmes, Luke Shuey plays a blinder for the Eagles, helping the home team take the points in the crucial midfield battle.
The moment: The Demons close to within three points in the dying minutes of the match only for Josh Kennedy to break their hearts when he outmarks Sam Frost and converts from the top of the goalsquare.

Ashley Browne

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 25 points
Most disposalsSteele Sidebottom (28)
First goal: Jason Castagna
The man: Dylan Grimes. So under-rated, the Richmond defender is enormously important because he can play on tall and small forwards. He seems the best match-up for Jordan De Goey, the potential Magpie match-winner.
The moment: It has to be magic from Dusty. Perhaps a brilliant clearance with a trademark fend-off, perhaps, more likely, a freakish, team-lifting goal. He might be hobbled but he loves a big occasion. Stand by for something special.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by 9 points
Most disposalsJack Redden (31)
First goal: Jack Darling
The man: Liam Ryan. The mercurial West Coast forward has a deep bag of tricks and will surely give us something special for his adoring home fans. But let's hope he also saves a few for the Grand Final.
The moment:

The Demons still have a knack of going to sleep for periods in games. They did so several times last week, but the Hawks weren’t good enough to take advantage. But at some stage on Saturday, the Eagles will pile on three or four unanswered goals and that might prove to be the difference.

Mitch Cleary

RICHMOND V COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 12 points
Most disposalsAdam Treloar (32)
First goal: Will Hoskin-Elliott
The man:  Expect Dustin Martin to spend more time forward, still restricted by a corkie sustained in the Tigers' qualifying final win. It won't matter, he'll give a sharp reminder to Pie Brayden Maynard that being a lockdown defender isn't all one-way traffic.
The moment: Late in the final term, Adam Treloar is reminded by Tigers skipper Trent Cotchin he picked the wrong list … for a second time.

WEST COAST V MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by seven points
Most disposalsJack Redden (31)
First goal: Willie Rioli
The man:  Luke Shuey. With James Harmes expected to go to Elliot Yeo, Shuey will be the one to get off the chain. With blistering pace out of packs to hit up Jack Darling and Josh Kennedy in attack, Melbourne's key defenders won't know what's hit them.
The moment: Neville Jetta takes down cousin Lewis in a huge chase on the wing. Like Jetta v Rioli in the 2012 decider. But better.

Ben Collins

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Collingwood by five points
Most disposalsSteele Sidebottom (33)
First goal: Mason Cox
The man:  Pies’ acrobat Jeremy Howe takes a series of skyscraping marks that go viral, accompanied by Handel’s Hallelujah (Howe-lelujah).
The moment: Rejuvenated Magpie Chris Mayne is sent forward to curb Richmond’s superstar defender Alex Rance and soccers the match-winning goal.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: Melbourne by three points
Most disposalsClayton Oliver (34)
First goal: Tom McDonald
The man: Demons stopper James Harmes claims another big scalp, West Coast playmaker Elliot Yeo, and declares that if the Dees win the flag he’ll get a tattoo of Nathan Jones getting a tattoo of Max Gawn on his backside.
The moment: Eagle Lewis Jetta follows his
Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired goal celebration from the qualifying final with some funky flossing after putting the home team in front late. Alas, the goal is overturned on score review.

Adam Curley

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 37 points
Most disposalsAdam Treloar (32)
First goal: Jordan De Goey
The man: Dustin Martin plays forward after an interrupted preparation and kicks six goals for the Tigers, with the Pies unable to contend with his strength close to goal.
The moment: With the forward 50 cleared, Martin brushes aside Brayden Maynard in a one-on-one contest to boot his fourth early in the last term, and the premiers run away with the match.

WEST COAST V MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by 13 points
Most disposalsElliott Yeo (34)
First goal: Jack Darling
The man: Yeo stares down the tag of Demon James Harmes at the opening bounce and proceeds to enhance his big-game reputation with a monster final.
The moment: Mark LeCras pounces on a Melbourne turnover deep in the Demons' back 50 to snap his fourth goal midway through the final term and give the Eagles a sealer.

Lee Gaskin

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 28 points
Most disposalsScott Pendlebury (36)
First goal: Jordan De Goey
The man: Playing mostly forward because of a bad cork, Tigers champ Dustin Martin will take the game over in the second half with four goals.
The moment: Loveable larrikin Jack Higgins won't be overawed by the big stage, kicking a huge goal in the last quarter that kills off the brave Magpies.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: Melbourne by three points
Most disposalsAngus Brayshaw (32)
First goal: Josh Kennedy
The man: Demons tagger James Harmes will enhance his reputation as a quality run-with midfielder by keeping a close leash on Eagles star Elliot Yeo.
The moment: Having given up a four-goal lead, the Demons surge late when Max Gawn delivers a beautiful tap to Nathan Jones, who puts the visitors back in front.

Ben Guthrie

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 22 points
Most disposals: Scott Pendlebury (31)
First goal: Kane Lambert
The man: With Dustin Martin slightly hobbled, Trent Cotchin will inspire his team to victory with a number of courageous acts. The Tigers skipper was sensational in last year's preliminary final against GWS and expect him to back it up against the Magpies.
The moment: Tyson Goldsack and Jack Riewoldt are engaged in a tussle for the ball midway through the final term with the Collingwood player desperate to clear the ball. That's when Daniel Rioli swoops in to kick the game-defining goal from the pocket to see the Tigers on their way to the Grand Final.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: Melbourne by seven points
Most disposals: Clayton Oliver (35)
First goal: Josh Kennedy
The man: Jake Melksham has one of the most important roles of any Demon in Saturday's game – stopping the marking force that is Jeremy McGovern. Look for Melksham to kick at least three goals and make sure McGovern doesn't have the game on his terms.
The moment: Tom McDonald takes a strong contested mark rising above the pack before going back and converting from 35m out to give the Demons the lead with five minutes remaining in the last quarter.

Travis King

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 17 points
Most disposalsAdam Treoloar (29)
First goal: Josh Thomas
The man: Dylan Grimes. If he goes to Jordan De Goey, expect the underrated Richmond defender to keep the Pies star to two goals or less and limit Collingwood's scoring power.
The moment: It will be close to start the final term, but Jack Riewoldt will break the shackles with a big mark and goal to kick-start Richmond's match-winning surge.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by four points
Most disposalsElliot Yeo (32)
First goal: Tom McDonald
The man: Josh Kennedy. The Eagles spearhead won't be as rusty as the qualifying final and will be the difference when the game is on the line in the fourth quarter, finishing with at least three goals.
The moment: The Dees will throw the kitchen sink at West Coast with repeat inside-50 entries in the final minute, but Eagles star Jeremy McGovern will stand tall with a match-saving pack mark.

Dinny Navaratnam

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 12 points
Most disposalsAdam Treloar (32)
First goal: Jack Riewoldt
The man: Alex Rance. Often plays as the deepest defender and Collingwood likes to use Jordan De Goey as the deepest forward, so these two will probably spend plenty of time on each other. Rance is one of the few players in the AFL who can blunt the Pies match-winner.
The moment: A brilliant rundown tackle by Dylan Grimes on De Goey in the dying minutes to save a goal that would have brought the Pies within four points.

Will Adam Treloar rack up the most touches on Friday night? Picture: AFL Photos

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: Melbourne by two points
Most disposalsAngus Brayshaw (29)
First goal: Josh Kennedy
The man: James Harmes. Keeping Elliot Yeo quiet will be a huge task, but Harmes will restrict the Eagle enough to allow the Dees to make the Grand Final.
The moment: As West Coast hold all the momentum in the third term, a huge clash between Jack Viney and Luke Shuey will see the Dees win the football and kick a game-turning goal.

Jennifer Phelan

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Collingwood by 13 points
Most disposals: Steele Sidebottom (32)
First goal: Travis Varcoe
The man: Jordan De Goey goes from pre-season villain to September hero with two match-defining goals in the last five minutes.
The moment: Sidebottom wins his sixth clearance inside 50 with three minutes to go, dishes off a handball to Scott Pendlebury who gets it – somehow, under immense pressure – to De Goey, who boots his fifth goal for the game to seal it.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: Melbourne by 15 points
Most disposals: Jack Viney (31)
First goal: Jake Melksham
The man: Max Gawn puts any concern over his body aside with a 54 hit-out game that powers his midfield to a comprehensive advantage.
The moment: Viney is a powerhouse at the stoppages across the game, but his best and most significant effort comes midway through the last quarter just outside 50. He deftly finds Christian Petracca, who hits Sam Weideman at the top of the goalsquare. Weideman goes back and kicks his third to give the Dees a 13-point lead they never relinquish.

Matt Thompson

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 33 points
Most disposalsDion Prestia (28)
First goal: Dustin Martin
The man: Jack Riewoldt is the hero as the Tigers kick away at the start of the final term.
The moment: Dustin Martin proves the doubters wrong with a fast running goal early in the opening stanza, setting the tone for a yellow and black night at the MCG.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: Melbourne by five points
Most disposalsClayton Oliver (26)
First goal: Sam Weideman
The man: Jack Viney wasn't there when the Demons last travelled to Optus Stadium, but this time around he'll own the joint and help silence the home crowd at key points in the match.
The moment: Eagles suffer major injuries in the opening quarter, paving the way for the Demons to keep pace throughout a fiery, high scoring contest.

Callum Twomey

RICHMOND v COLLINGWOOD

Winner: Richmond by 21 points
Most disposalsTom Phillips (30)
First goal: Jack Higgins
The man: With all the attention on Dustin Martin and his sore leg, Dion Prestia dominates the midfield battle and also pushes forward to kick two vital goals. Martin is solid without being at his starring best which was on show earlier in the finals series.
The moment: Daniel Rioli kicks two goals early in the last term to give the Tigers the edge after a tight battle until then.

WEST COAST v MELBOURNE

Winner: West Coast by 29 points
Most disposalsAngus Brayshaw (32)
First goal: Liam Ryan
The man: Jeremy McGovern blankets Melbourne's key forwards with his intercept marking and kick-starts the Eagles from defence.
The moment: Jack Darling backs up his starring role in the qualifying final win with another excellent outing. His grab just before half-time and subsequent goal gives the Eagles a half-time buffer the Dees can't run down.
