SCOTT SELWOOD will return in Geelong's VFL team in this Sunday's practice match against Footscray.
Recovering from more off-season ankle surgery, Selwood will get valuable minutes at VU Whitten Oval as he pushes for an early AFL return.
Key forward Stewart Crameri will face his former team for the first time as he gets more game time under his belt after a lingering hip complaint.
Geelong captain Joel Selwood said last week brother Scott was feeling as good as he has after any previous surgery.
"He's fresher coming out of this one, more than any one he's ever had," Selwood told AFL.com.au.
"(He) wasn't overly pleased to get the surgery but once he had it and how freed up the ankle actually feels now, he's so pleased that he did it.
"He'll just play good footy at VFL level and come back from there. He's a pretty tough kid, as tough as I know."
After four VFL games last year following a toe injury, Scott Selwood played 14 of the final 17 games including all three finals.
