SATURDAY'S match against fellow strugglers St Kilda is nothing different and business as usual for Gold Coast, says small forward Sean Lemmens.
The Saints haven't won since the opening round, while the Suns have won just one of their past nine matches, ensuring the spotlight will be on Metricon Stadium for all the wrong reasons.
But Lemmens, who is playing his first senior game for the season, said nothing felt different at Carrara this week.
"It is an important game," he said.
"We've had a poor last couple of weeks, as have St Kilda.
"To come out there and get back to what we do best in front of our fans is very important.
"When you prepare for a game at the start of the week it's the same process.
"You try to bring what you're good at, and on the weekend you have a process and you try and stick to that."
Gold Coast has been flogged by 85 and 108 points in the past fortnight by Geelong and Greater Western Sydney, and looked a shell of the team that was so impressive early in the season.
Lemmens' return from a torn hamstring and broken hand will add much-needed speed and pressure to a forward line that has struggled in recent weeks.
Coach Stuart Dew has kept things simple for the 23-year-old.
"He said 'do what you do best, and that's pressure and tackle'," Lemmens said.
"Our pressure has been a little bit off. This week we've trained that pressure and tackling and it's something we want to get back to.
"I'm looking forward to helping the team out where I can with that forward pressure and plenty of tackles.
"It's (being injured) been frustrating, but it's part of football so you've got to be disciplined and get back as quick as you can."
Lemmens will be joined by Jarryd Lyons and Josh Schoenfeld, who have all been recalled at the expense of omitted trio Will Brodie, Brad Scheer and Jacob Heron.
