FIRST-YEAR Melbourne defender Harrison Petty has suffered a concussion during match simulation at the Demons' training camp in Maroochydore.
Petty went to ground after colliding with a teammate going for the ball.
He did not get up for a period of time afterwards, before being put on a stretcher and taken from the field.
All the standard protocols were followed.
The club confirmed he'd suffered concussion and would take no further part in the session.
He was recovering in a nearby warm-up room.
The key defender from South Australia was drafted to the Demons with pick No.37 in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft.
