RICHMOND midfielder Shane Edwards can accept a $2000 fine for engaging in rough conduct against Melbourne defender Neville Jetta at the MCG on Monday night.
The incident, which occurred in the second quarter, was assessed by match review officer Michael Christian as careless conduct with low impact to the head.
Jetta had the football on the wing and as he went to kick it was collected high by Edwards.
A match-day report on experienced Melbourne backman Bernie Vince for striking Richmond wingman Brandon Ellis was thrown out.
Christian found the high contact Vince made was not forceful enough for a sanction to be imposed.
One other incident was looked at.
In the final term, Richmond defender Bachar Houli took a mark on the wing and was hit late and high from Melbourne forward James Harmes from behind.
A 50m penalty was paid and Christian found there wasn't enough force to warrant a further sanction.
