OUT OF contract at the end of the season, questions surround Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade's future at the club.
And the fans are equally undecided.
Giving their mid-season verdict on the Suns in an AFL.com.au survey, only a slim majority of fans said they were happy with the coach, with 47 per cent saying they were unhappy.
One fan urged the club to do whatever it takes to lure former Demon and Swans coach Paul Roos to the club.
Superstar Gary Ablett was also under the pump at the start of the season after requesting a trade from the club last year, but has been in sparkling form in the past two months.
Ablett's form is reflected in the fans' vote, which has him as the best performer for the club this season.
Curiously, midfielder Aaron Hall features in the votes as both the Suns' best and most underperformed player, perhaps suggesting unfulfilled potential.
Here are the full survey results, plus Suns supporters' views on their first ever finals series hopes.
It'll be a good year for the Suns if …
We contract Paul Roos for three years. Offer to buy him a house. Seriously, whatever one he wants. His choice.
- Alan Brown, Perth WA
We don't lose by more than 40 points for the rest of the year.
- Roger Stroppy, Brisbane Qld
Rocket plays Rory Thompson at full-forward, two-metre Peter at centre half-forward and Lynchy half-forward flank roaming up the ground.
- Trent Love, Jindalee Qld
Ablett stays at Gold Coast and we are at least in the hunt for finals after round 21.
- Thomas Bourke, Melbourne Vic
We can re-sign Steven May, get our best team on the park and finally play finals.
- Alex Mancini, Perth WA
Peter Wright and Tom Lynch cement themselves as an elite tandem and the draftees show potential.
- Edward Clark, Blackburn Vic
