GEELONG defender Lachie Henderson says he is looking forward to having a front-row seat for the Eddie Betts Show in the Cats' blockbuster clash with Adelaide on Friday night.
The former Brisbane Lions and Carlton player spent time playing with Betts at the Blues, and said it is always fun to watch the small forward play in the flesh.
"I've obviously played with Eddie and I know what he can do," Henderson said.
"It's actually a bit of fun to get to see him first-hand. It's not enjoyable being against him, but at least you can see it first-hand."
Betts isn't alone in causing headaches for defenders, with the Crows leading the way in points scored and being widely regarded as having the most potent attack in the competition.
While Betts has booted 41 goals this season, captain Taylor Walker (41), Josh Jenkins (27) and Tom Lynch (23) are some of the other dangerous forwards to contend with.
"They've got some really good talent down there," Henderson said.
Henderson, 27, is confident that Geelong's defence is adaptable enough to contain the Crows' mix of damaging tall and small attackers.
"We're a versatile backline, so we can go from anyone to anyone," he said.
Henderson said playing Adelaide at the "cauldron" that was Adelaide Oval was the toughest test in football, and said Geelong's strong recent record against the Crows would mean little when the match began.
"It's a great test for us, we need to go over and enjoy it," he said.
"It's Friday night footy against the best, it's the two top teams at the moment on the ladder, so it's going to be an enjoyable one."
Henderson will play his 150th match on Friday, but while he acknowledged the achievement he said he was more focused on the job at hand.
"It's just a milestone, we've got a job to do tomorrow and it's a big one for us."
