JONATHAN Brown will captain Victoria and Luke Darcy the All Stars in this year's Chemist Warehouse EJ Whitten Legends Game.
The game will be played on Friday 1 September at Etihad Stadium as part of the AFL's weekend off between the home and away season and finals.
"The All Stars team is looking strong this year; we have pulled together some of the best retired players from around the country," Darcy said.
"I don’t want to reveal too much yet but it is safe to say some of the biggest names in AFL are on our list and we're ready to take on Browny's Vics."
"We snatched victory in an epic kick-off after the siren last year and I'm confident we can take home the title again this year," Brown said.
"Darce better watch out, we have some absolute greats lining up for Victoria, including premiership players, All-Australians and AFL Hall of Famers."
The EJ Whitten Foundation was established in 1995 to honour the legacy of the late EJ Whitten.
'Mr Football', as he was known, died after a long and public battle with prostate cancer.
Since its inception, the EJ Whitten Foundation has raised over $11 million for men's health awareness programs and prostate cancer research and treatment.
The game will be broadcast live nationally from 19:30 AEST on Channel 7, 7mate and Fox Footy.
Telstra will also stream the match live via the AFL Live App.
