STAR Sydney big man Kurt Tippett will miss at least one game after suffering an acute ankle sprain in the Grand Final rematch against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.
The injury to Tippett's left ankle compounded the woes for the Swans, who fell 23 points short of the premiers.
Tippett, 29, was injured during the first quarter when he landed badly after launching for a mark.
Swan's deliberate rushed call deemed correct
He was not able to take the kick and sat out the rest of the night.
The former Crow did not suffer any bone damage.
Sydney will update the timeline of Tippett's stint on the sidelines on Monday.
Mature-age draftee Darcy Cameron looks in line to make his senior debut after he was named for Sydney's NEAFL match against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday. An infected finger meant the West Australian was unavailable for selection in round one.
Sam Reid and Lance Franklin combined for 10 goals versus the Dogs but Sydney had just three other goalkickers.
The Swans are 0-2 and host Collingwood next Friday night at the SCG. They will also be without defender Dane Rampe (arm), premiership co-captain Jarrad McVeigh (calf), small forward Tom Papley (knee) and young gun Isaac Heeney (glandular fever), among others.
