ESSENDON forward Jayden Laverde, Adelaide draftee Ben Davis and Melbourne defender Colin Garland have been placed on their respective club's long-term injury lists.
Laverde underwent surgery for an ankle injury suffered in a JLT Community Series game against Geelong in early March.
The 20-year-old is expected to return soon after the mid-season bye.
Laverde was the 20th overall pick in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft and has played 18 games in the past two seasons.
He joins David Myers and Jordan Ridley on the Bombers' long-term injury list.
Forward/ruck Shaun McKernan is the only rookie to be promoted so far.
The other rookie-listed players at the Bombers are Jake Long, Sam Draper and Ben McNiece.
Crows utility Davis has had foot surgery to correct a pre-existing stress injury.
The 19-year-old was selected by the Crows with the 75th overall pick in last year's draft.
He is the second player on the Crows' long-term injury list alongside Cam Ellis-Yolmen, who has had a knee reconstruction to repair a torn ACL.
The Crows are yet to promote any of their rookies – Jonathon Beech, Hugh Greenwood, Alex Keath, Paul Hunter and Ben Jarman.
Garland – who has played 141 games for the Demons – will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
The Demons are yet to promote any of their rookies.
Players placed on the long-term injury list are unavailable for senior selection for at least eight weeks.
