WITH 38 disposals and the highest score for the final round of the JLT Community Series, Nat Fyfe (MID, $595,000) certainly didn't disappoint. He pleased Fantasy coaches with a huge 147 and looks set for another big year.

Patrick Dangerfield (MID, $712,000) also racked up 38 touches for his 135 and even though his popularity has dropped off slightly in 2017, Heath Shaw (DEF, $614,000) dominated on his way to 146. Shaw enjoyed the freedom that pre-season allows in the defensive half for the Giants and cashed in with 16 marks.

Dayne Beams (MID, $519,000) proved he is back to his very best with 127 and the underpriced Andrew Gaff (MID, $564,000) was on fire against Melbourne with 145.

Are we concerned?

It has been one of the biggest talking points of the pre-season and now is the time for us to be concerned about Max Gawn (RUC, $642,000) sharing his rucking duties with Jake Spencer (RUC, $281,000). Gawn scored just 54 and with Spencer kicking three goals while resting forward, you'd think he has secured a spot in their best 22 for round one.

Tom Rockliff (MID, $704,000) only racked up 20 touches for his 76 and this has many Fantasy coaches jumping off the third most expensive player in the game. Personally, I'll be holding strong and backing in the Fantasy pig who scored over 170 three times last year.

Rookie watch (under $250k)

Andy Otten (DEF, $150,000) continued his career comeback with another solid performance. He scored 73 and, believe it or not, is still not a lock for the Crows for the opening round. Curtly Hampton (DEF, $204,000) is though and accumulated 26 touches for his 80. At his price and ability, he should be sitting comfortably on your ground.

At a similar price, Caleb Marchbank (DEF, $205,000) also cemented himself a round one berth with his 88, thanks to seven marks.

Tim Taranto (FWD/MID, $248,000) scored 66 and looks set for a round one debut but for nearly $100k less, Jarrod Pickett (FWD/MID, $150,000) was equally impressive for Carlton with 73.

As far as rookies go, Brett Eddy (FWD, $150,000) stole the show kicking five goals and 94 points, and although his teammate Sam Powell-Pepper (MID, $216,000) only scored 48, he did so with eight free kicks against his name. In Fantasy that equates to -24.

On the flipside, some rookies failed to impress. Dan Butler (FWD, $150,000) had just 33 from 80 per cent game time and the Kangaroo's pair Ed Vickers-Wills (DEF, $150,000) and Mitchell Hibberd (DEF, $150,000) only scored 38 and 48 respectively. Hibberd played less than half a game, and although he scored well in that time, the fact that he didn't play much is a concern for coaches who currently have him on their field.

#StayStrongJLT

Cam McCarthy (FWD, $211,000) appears to have finally found his feet at Fremantle, kicking an impressive six goals for his 93, and Kayne Turner (FWD, $216,000) produced his best game to date with 88. Stay strong coaches and don't pick these guys up off the back of just one game.

Heeney replacements

Isaac Heeney was one of the top five most popular Fantasy players before he was struck down with an illness. This sent coaches into chaos as they hunted down a replacement for the young star.

Gold Coast's Touk Miller (FWD/MID, $493,000) would be at the top of the list and his score of 81 certainly proved why he is a worthy replacement. With nine per cent ownership Miller look set to break out this year after finishing his 2016 season averaging 104 in his last eight games.

Jack Steele (FWD/MID, $432,000) was impressive again with 12 tackles and 120, along with his team mate Jack Billings (FWD/MID, $479,000) who found the ball 25 times for his 81.
