NO ONE at Port Adelaide is more excited about the likely addition of Brisbane Lions midfielder Tom Rockliff than newly crowned club champion Paddy Ryder.
The All Australian ruckman can't wait to have Rockliff added to the on-ball brigade at the Power next season.
The Power are expected to sign the restricted free agent early next week, with the Lions believed to be happy not to match the offer and accept a compensation pick instead.

"As a ruckman, you love having quality midfielders underneath you," Ryder said.
"I'm hearing Rockliff may be coming, if he hasn't already.
"That's a great signing for the club and that's one that the midfield group and myself are over the moon about."
Ryder was a popular winner of the John Cahill Medal at the Power's end-of-season function on Friday night.
The 29-year-old made a triumphant return to the game after he missed the 2016 season serving a 12-month anti-doping suspension resulting from the Essendon supplements saga.
"A lot of good came from having a year off," Ryder said.
"I came back fitter, stronger and wanting it a lot more.
"It's just an amazing feeling and I just want to be a part of this group for as long as I can."
The Power are still hurting from their heartbreaking elimination final loss to West Coast, with Eagles midfielder Luke Shuey kicking the winning goal in extra-time.
"We have to go further than what we did," Ryder said of next year's goal.
"We've got a lot of young players in our group that probably haven't been super consistent and that comes with inexperience.
"You've got to get games into guys and the only way they get better is training hard, playing against quality opposition and then learning from those experiences.
"We've got an exciting group so next year we'll look to go a lot better than how it finished."
